Role of the Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Systems Engineering Manager, you will drive the design, development, and implementation of complex systems, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and cutting-edge technological solutions. In this role, you will demonstrate a systems mindset, adept at capturing requirements, conducting trade studies, creating system designs, planning verification activities, and engaging with multiple stakeholders to drive excellence, efficiency, and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

As the Systems Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Applying systems engineering principles to design and optimising Verlume’s systems and products.
  • Providing technical leadership on engineering projects, ensuring successful integration across multiple disciplines.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, delivering innovative solutions.
  • Overseeing the creation and documentation of system architecture, requirements, and specifications.
  • Leading system-level testing, verification, and validation activities to ensure compliance with requirements.



Our ideal candidate

To be successful in this role our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following experiences and attributes:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a systems role or related engineering position.
  • Strong background in risk management, requirements engineering, and systems integration.
  • Experience of industry standards such as ISO 15288 and INCOSE best practices.
  • Passionate about the energy transition.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication/collaboration skills.
  • Collaborative team player with strong leadership abilities
  • Self-motivated, with a commitment to continuous learning and development.
