This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of a complex, diverse engineering operation and shape the long-term infrastructure strategy of a forward-thinking business.This role is ideal for a senior engineering leader looking to move into a broader, more influential position where technical excellence meets strategic vision, people leadership, and continuous improvement.The OpportunityAs Head of Engineering, you will lead all engineering, maintenance, IT and infrastructure across a large, operational estate. You will be responsible for setting standards, building long-term asset strategies, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring every system performs with reliability and precision.This is a hands-on leadership role with real autonomy, influence at the top table, and the chance to leave a lasting legacy.What You’ll Be Responsible ForFull leadership of a multidisciplinary Engineering & Maintenance functionAsset management across buildings, plant, vehicles, IT, CCTV and infrastructureOwning and optimising the CMMS and maintenance planning strategyBudget ownership, capital investment planning and lifecycle managementDriving preventative maintenance and continuous improvementDeveloping a strong health, safety and compliance cultureLeading and inspiring internal teams and specialist contractorsMaintaining a strong on-site presence and visible leadership styleWhat We’re Looking ForDegree-qualified in a relevant Engineering discipline7+ years’ experience in senior engineering or technical leadershipStrong background in facilities, estates or multi-site engineering operationsExcellent planner with proven scheduling and CMMS experienceConfident leader of multidisciplinary technical teamsCommercially aware with budget and capital project experienceComfortable operating at senior leadership level with high autonomyWhat’s On OfferSalary up to £90,000 + Performance BonusExceptional long-term career progressionOutstanding benefits and wellbeing packageA leadership role with genuine influence at board levelA culture built on excellence, pride, and continuous improvementThe chance to shape the future of a complex, high-profile operationWhy This Role?This isn’t just another Head of Engineering position.
