The Role – Analytical Chemist


We are excited to offer an outstanding opportunity for an Analytical Chemist to join our rapidly expanding company in a specialized industry. As a crucial member of our analytical team, you will have a pivotal role in supporting our manufacturing and product development efforts during this dynamic phase of growth, reporting directly to the Technical Manager.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the operations of the laboratory at LCM, providing comprehensive analytical services both in-house and for external clients.
  • Manage and operate advanced laboratory equipment’s.
  • Maintain and update the Laboratory Management System. Ensure all documentation adheres to industry standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytical methods and introduce new techniques to support the development of innovative products.
  • Develop and adapt sample analysis records to ensure both quality and traceability throughout the process.
  • Work closely with production and R&D teams to assess analytical priorities, ensuring efficient and cost-effective use of laboratory facilities.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels of reagents and consumables. Oversee the storage and safe disposal of hazardous substances in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Ensure all analytical areas are well-organized, clean, and properly maintained to foster a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Adhere to the company’s Health and Safety Policy, including the appropriate use of protective equipment and clothing when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with the Company’s Quality Policy and participate in both internal and external audits as required.
  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures to uphold the highest standards in laboratory practices.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Technical Manager to support the overall goals of the laboratory and the company.

 

 

Our Requirements - Analytical Chemist


  • Proven experience working as an analytical chemist within a manufacturing or pilot plant environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to supervise and support junior colleagues.
  • Experience in the use of the following laboratory equipment:


Essential,


  1. Elemental Analysis (ICP-OES / LECO)


Desirable,


  1. Metallography (Optical, SEM-EDX)
  2. Crystallography (XRD)
  3. Physical Testing (PSD, thickness)


Relevant experience and implementation of ISO 17025 standard is desirable but not essential. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact within a dynamic and growing organization.
