Virtue Vets (IG: @virtuevets) is a next-generation chain of veterinary clinics. We are tech-enabled with a modern tech stack. We are 100% cloud-based, so network and application uptime and security is of the utmost importance.


We are looking for an exceptional IT Support Engineer, preferably with MSP experience. While you may not be an expert with each of the applications in our tech stack, you should be able to figure things out by consulting online resources and repositories, manuals, vendor support and by trial and error. Speed and responsiveness are a must.


Summary Of Key Responsibilities

  • Provide IT services and support to the clinical and back-office teams
  • Configure and manage devices and peripherals
  • Installation and management of fibre network connectivity and equipment
  • Manage cybersecurity and data security
  • Integrate and manage SaaS applications and cloud infrastructure
  • Develop and run simple scripts and microservices applications
  • Liaise and manage with equipment and applications vendors


Experience

  • Proven in-house or MSP support experience (5+ years); Relevant IT qualification
  • Able to design simple scalable architecture solutions
  • Expert level: Windows 10/1, Office 365, Sharepoint, SCCM, Windows Server
  • Proven experience with Window, Apple and Android devices
  • Experience working and migrating across public cloud (AWS, GCP and Azure)
  • Proven understanding of firewall, network and WiFi technology
  • Proven experience with cybersecurity solutions
  • Configuration and troubleshooting, especially for 1 Gig Fiber Pipe and Fall-over
  • Solid understanding of IVR/VoIP technology and Cellular communication
  • Configuring Mobile/Web Apps, Website Hosting, Social Media Applications
  • Experience with e-commerce and e-payment portals/peripherals
  • Installation and management of alarms and physical security/access solutions


Additional Desired Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft domain infrastructure, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
  • Experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware, Citrix, and Hyper-V)
  • Experience with Healthcare/Clinical Equipment and Apps: Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) for X-Ray and Ultrasound Imaging, Practice Management Systems (PMS)

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide IT support. Diagnose and resolve day-to-day issues
  • Install and maintain ticketing system
  • Maintain logs for issues, equipment and users
  • User onboarding/offboarding and internal user moves
  • Configure desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, peripherals and accessories
  • Integrate and connect devices, peripherals and accessories
  • Support the IT Infrastructure, minimising downtime
  • Penetration testing, DDOS defense, Cybersecurity implementation
  • Information and cybersecurity monitoring and incident response
  • Develop IT policies, Data Protection (GDPR) compliance policies and audits
  • Develop workflows and document processes including workflow automation
  • Automation and workflow implementation
  • Design and implement projects to upgrade tech stack and improve processes
