Structural Integrity Engineer

Our client, a leading player in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking a Structural Integrity Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Derby. This role involves supporting crucial nuclear programmes, including UK Submarines, and ensuring the integrity of both existing and new nuclear establishments.Key Responsibilities:Supporting various nuclear programmes by providing structural integrity expertiseConducting finite element analysis and complex structural integrity assessmentsProducing technical documentation, including calculations and reportsWorking collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teamsTaking responsibility for projects from inception to completionEnsuring project delivery meets time, quality, and cost objectivesJob Requirements:Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related disciplineExperience in the nuclear sector (design, analysis, technical substantiation) is desirableExperience in performing complex structural integrity assessments (including Fatigue, Fatigue Crack Growth, and Fracture assessments)Familiarity with relevant codes such as ASME III and R6Experience in delivering technical projects and servicesProficiency in producing key technical documentationExcellent communication and presentation skillsSecurity clearance (SC) is required for this roleIf you are a skilled Structural Integrity Engineer with experience in the nuclear sector and are looking for a challenging project with significant impact, we would love to hear from you.
