Our client, a leading player in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking a Structural Integrity Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Derby. This role involves supporting crucial nuclear programmes, including UK Submarines, and ensuring the integrity of both existing and new nuclear establishments.Key Responsibilities:Supporting various nuclear programmes by providing structural integrity expertise Conducting finite element analysis and complex structural integrity assessments Producing technical documentation, including calculations and reports Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams Taking responsibility for projects from inception to completion Ensuring project delivery meets time, quality, and cost objectives Job Requirements:Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline Experience in the nuclear sector (design, analysis, technical substantiation) is desirable Experience in performing complex structural integrity assessments (including Fatigue, Fatigue Crack Growth, and Fracture assessments) Familiarity with relevant codes such as ASME III and R6 Experience in delivering technical projects and services Proficiency in producing key technical documentation Excellent communication and presentation skills Security clearance (SC) is required for this role If you are a skilled Structural Integrity Engineer with experience in the nuclear sector and are looking for a challenging project with significant impact, we would love to hear from you.
