Job Opportunity: Hands-On Human Resources Manager (ABEO Group)
Location: Mainly Burnley Area (within a 20-minute radius)
Sector: Sporting Equipment Manufacturing & Distribution
Scope: Supporting 5 UK-based Companies | Approx. 200 Employees | Regular Travel Required
ABEO Group is seeking a proactive and hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations across five companies within the UK sporting equipment sector. With a primary base near Burnley, this role involves close collaboration with teams across multiple sites, requiring regular travel to effectively support the business needs of the group.
This role involves direct action and involvement as you are primarily responsible for HR.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational HR & Compliance: Ensure active compliance with UK employment law and establish practical, business-specific, HR policies across multiple sites.
- Payroll Management: Execute payroll coordination directly with an external provider, ensuring accurate and timely processing for all entities.
- HR Information System (HRIS) Implementation: Conduct a feasibility study and actively participate in the setup of an HRIS system to streamline HR processes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with the leadership of each company, serving as an accessible, trusted HR advisor.
- Employee Relations: Manage on-the-ground HR activities to foster positive workplace dynamics in a non-unionized environment, addressing employee relations directly.
