Location: Ashford, Surrey
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team starting on the 16th of September. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and supervising a team of M&E operatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a daily morning briefing to review tasks for each trade, followed by a specific briefing for M&E operatives before work begins.
- Issue necessary permits for the day (e.g., hot works, steps, scaffolding, etc.).
- Perform daily inspections of plant equipment and sign off tags.
- Utilize the Morgan Sindall App (SIMS) to record at least two positive interventions daily and conduct quality control inspections.
- Ensure strict compliance with the requirement for all staff to wear 5-point PPE, including glasses and gloves.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Supervise the team throughout the day, overseeing tasks and managing workflows.
- Coordinate with the MD or contracts manager to order materials. Day-to-day orders can be placed directly, pending a PO number from the office.
- Handle typical supervisory duties to ensure the smooth operation of the site.
The estimated time for the above tasks is approximately 3 hours daily, with supervision and other duties continuing throughout the day.
Qualifications and Advantageous Skills:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Familiarity with SIMS (Morgan Sindall App) for inspections and interventions
- Ability to manage a team and oversee site safety and quality standards
- Advantageous: Experience with permit issuing and compliance processes
- Advantageous: Knowledge of plant equipment inspections and maintenance
- Advantageous: Ability to handle material procurement and PO management
