Senior Agricultural Consultant - East Anglia - Up to £55,000 + Great Benefits

Our client, a leading consultancy firm in the agricultural sector, is seeking an experienced Consultant/Advisor to be a Head of Consulting and lead their East Anglia team. This role involves overseeing strategic and technical farm consultancy services and providing expert advice to a diverse range of farm businesses. The position is ideal for a driven leader with strong experience in farm consultancy and management, who is eager to contribute to the company’s growth and make a meaningful impact in the industry.


Role:

  • Lead and manage the Food & Farming departments across Cambridge and Norwich, working closely with regional Heads of Office.
  • Drive new business development, identifying opportunities to expand service lines.
  • Foster relationships with local clients and enhance the team's profile through marketing, PR, and charitable events.
  • Guide and mentor team members, ensuring skill development and addressing recruitment needs.
  • Ensure the department meets and exceeds fee-earning targets.
  • Champion cross-selling activities within the department and across other divisions.
  • Monitor and improve financial performance, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Implement company strategies and policies, maintaining smooth and compliant departmental operations.


Salary:

  • Competitive & Negotiable salary (expected to be from £75,000) depending on experience

Skills:

  • Proven experience in farm consultancy in the UK (essential)
  • Experience with management, with strong leadership abilities (essential)
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A ledger of potential clients would be advantageous
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to meet revenue targets.
  • Ability to mentor, guide, and inspire a team.
  • Strategic mindset, with experience in identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities.
  • Knowledge of compliance and health & safety regulations in agricultural settings.
