The Portfolio Analyst will work as part of the core Portfolio Office team to help launch my high-profile Energy Client's new Portfolio Management function.



In this role, you will play a pivotal part in refining, testing, and rolling out critical processes across various portfolio management areas. You will be instrumental in shaping and standardizing frameworks that will drive project, programme, and portfolio success across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Framework Development: Test, refine, and implement processes related to Project, Programme, and Portfolio Management frameworks and standards.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure robust governance across portfolios, with a particular focus on Risk Management, Benefits Management, Resource Management, and Reporting.
  • Process Improvement: Work on Pipeline and Demand Management, Prioritisation, and Sanctioning processes to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Confidently engage with various stakeholders, customers, and external partners to create and instil a unified approach across teams.
  • Training & Support: Get up to speed with existing frameworks, and take the lead in training and guiding colleagues on their use. Hold clinics and offer hands-on support to teams, ensuring best practices are adopted across the board.
  • Customer Partnership: Take customers on a journey, fostering partnerships with central teams and other departments to deliver seamless project and portfolio management.



Skills & Experience Required:

  • Senior PMO Background: Extensive experience in a PMO role, ideally with exposure to portfolio-level management.
  • Project/Programme Delivery Expertise: Strong understanding of project and programme delivery and governance.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to build trust and confidence with a wide range of stakeholders and teams.
  • Process-Oriented: Adept at creating, refining, and implementing standardized processes and frameworks.
  • Training & Mentoring: Experience in training, mentoring, and guiding teams through process adoption.
