Senior/AI Research Scientist

Salary: £70,000-£140,000 + benefits

Location: 3 days a week in Cambridge

We are collaborating with a well known tech company looking to hire an AI Research Scientist in their central Cambridge office.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to research and commercialization focusing on on-device LLMs/VLMs, adaptive inference, and mobile ML.
  • Conduct cutting-edge research and help shape the group's agenda.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and on-site research teams to integrate ML into consumer devices.
  • Design innovative ML algorithms that push technological boundaries.
  • Translate research into practical applications, impacting millions of devices.
  • Contribute to patents, publications, and comprehensive documentation.
  • Work in a collaborative, learning-focused environment that values openness and high-quality output.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Required

  • LLMs experience is required
  • VLM or Multimodal experience is beneficial
  • Candidates must have experience deploying on-device or optimising efficiency/computing memory
  • PhD is required in STEM-related subject
  • Publications in top academic conferences/journals
  • Excellent communication skills with proven experience working with stakeholders
