Head of Product Control

Following further fund launches, increase in AUM and deployment of new Portfolio Managers top ranking Multi Strategy Hedge Fund seeks a Head of Product Control.

The role will sit directly supporting the Investment Team across a wide asset class responsible for;


  • Leading the Product Control functionally globally – both further build of systems and processes as well as hiring.
  • Strategic planning and roadmap design to match further plans for scale – breaking into new regions and trading in new asset classes.
  • Ensuring accurate P&L for Portfolio Managers (PM’s) analysing live positions and trading activity.
  • Pricing and valuing trades correctly and dealing with regular queries from the traders throughout the day.
  • Estimate P&L positions compared to end of day trading activity and analysis of comparators, holding own with challenging questions from traders and PM’s vs market fundamentals.
  • Working with PM’s discussing miss-pricing for intra-day marks.
  • Marking of the books.
  • Curve analysis and curve construction.
  • Attribution analysis.
  • Risk impact analysis and valuation comparison against third party marks.
  • Work with PM’s to ensure closing prices applied to the instruments traded reflect accurately the market observed pricing.
  • Daily FX hedging on the book.


Strong Product Control experience will be a prerequisite along with a strong product suite ideally from a hedge fund background. Current Number 2 to Head of Product Control or Senior Product Control will be considered.
