Location: Manchester Office (City Centre)
Reports to: Group Financial Controller

About the Role:
The core requirement of this role is to prepare the SysGroup monthly management accounts and to provide regular performance information and financial support to the organisation as a trusted business partner. Additional responsibilities will be to support the external audit processes and statutory and compliance reporting. The role also provides a good opportunity to be involved in system improvement projects.
This is a perfect role for part-qualified candidates with a strong background, and a view to further studies with our support.
Key Requirements / Qualifications:
- Fully or part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, or ACA
- Previous experience of service sector industry
- Experience of using an ERP system (SysGroup use SAP B1)
- Proficient is use of MS Excel
- Strong communication skills to have the ability to explain financial matters to non-financial colleagues both verbally and in written form.
- Self-motivated to achieve objectives, build strong working relationships, and complete tasks.
- Enjoys improving ways of working and contributes to team ethic.
- Good humour and enjoys meeting people.
- Keen to learn and develop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing the monthly management accounts and financial performance reports
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Bank payments and bank reconciliations
- Preparing the quarterly VAT returns
- Assisting with the external audit & statutory accounts
- Managing and control of the expenses system
- P11D & PSA Returns
- Support to the Senior Leadership Team to provide insights and analysis for business decision making.
- Ad/hoc duties as required.
