Role & Responsibilities:

As a Junior Product Technologist, you’ll play a vital role in a dynamic team, contributing to the product development lifecycle. Aligned with our company values, you are expected to evolve into a fully-fledged Product Technologist.

Your primary role is to serve as the bridge between the product development kitchen and the production line, ensuring a seamless transition for new products/ingredients from trial and testing stages to full production.

Key Responsibilities

• Transition Support: Assist in the seamless transition of new products from trial to full production.

• Issue Identification: Identify and recommend improvements during trial production runs.

• Equipment Trials: Participate in buying and trialling new processing equipment.

• Ad-hoc Support: Provide coordination for the implementation of new structures and processes.

• Collaboration: Build relationships with NPD, Production, and other stakeholders.

• Process Understanding: Understand and flag potential problems in production processes.

• Scheduling and Coordination: Develop schedules for product launches and coordinate production trials.

• Investigations: Conduct ongoing investigations into production processes.

• Documentation and Support: Ensure accurate documentation of operating procedures and provide support during initial production.

• Costing and Flexibility: Thoroughly cost products after trials and be flexible in undertaking role-associated activities.

• Continuous Improvement Leadership: Identify, design, embed and champion Continuous Improvement initiatives beyond New Product Development, ensuring a culture of ongoing enhancement and efficiency throughout the organisation.

• Organised Coordinator: Develops practical schedules for product launches and coordinates production line trials, showcasing organisational skills.

• Customer-Focused Facilitator: Facilitates customer visits during production trials, emphasising a considerate and customer-focused approach.

• This person would work around 37.5 hours a week, demonstrating flexibility during production trials, and possess the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
