Job Description:

They're seeking an accomplished and ambitious Director of Antibody Engineering to lead the antibody discovery and screening efforts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in antibody engineering and a proven track record of leading successful projects.


You will be responsible for driving the development of novel antibody therapeutics from concept to clinic, leading a team of scientists, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and reporting into the SVP of Drug Discovery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise in the field of molecular biology, antibody engineering and characterization of antibodies.
  • Provide expertise in the development of antibody drug conjugates through the design and evaluation of functional stability and activity of ADCs.
  • Propose and execute innovative experiments or technical work programs
  • taking lead decision-making process to support target validation and appropriate data packages.
  • Assume program leadership role within own discipline for key drug discovery projects.
  • Influence the design and execution of experiments or highly technical work programs within discipline.
  • Taking responsibility for final outcomes of experiments and recommending process improvement when required.
  • Demonstrate evidence of developing and implementing new scientific strategies in own discipline.


Experience:

  • PhD or MSc with experience in Biomedical sciences, Molecular biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related disciplines
  • At least 8 years’ working experience performing laboratory research in either an academic or biotech/pharma industry environment
  • Strong knowledge of antibody engineering and a track record of drug discovery project leadership.
