Business Development Manager

Penryn, United Kingdom ScaffFloat Full time

Business Development Manager / Marketing

We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven Business Development Manager to come into our fast-growing business and help us grow, in existing and new markets, in the UK and overseas.

This is an incredibly exciting opportunity. ScaffFloat is only just at the start of its journey and based on our trajectory over the last two years you can expect the next decade to be really exciting as we keep expanding the capabilities of our ScaffFloat system; the Swiss Army Knife of floating platforms

You must be an engaging people-person who thrives in a sales environment.

Bottom of pipeline: You will own our sales process, follow up on quotes (not in a pushy way) and help increase our conversion rate. Once converted you will then hand it over to the operations team for delivery.

Middle of pipeline: You will plug into our already sizeable network of suppliers, customers, and contacts (all anchored into our CRM). You will get on the phone every day to make calls, send messages and emails, do presentations and post brochures. You will talk about how ScaffFloat solves problems and adds value to projects, which will lead you to issuing quotes and proposals with the help of the rest of the team on design and commercials.

Top of pipeline: You will also be involved in marketing, trade shows, pushing out content via social media, website, email newsletters, post, trade press and generally leveraging all the channels available to us. We are lucky to have so many engaging case studies and stories to tell as well as exciting R&D taking place, so we are never short of great content to send out.

You will have very clear targets and work to well-established KPIs.

You will also be developing and selling our new overseas franchise package with possible international travel.

The remuneration package will include a healthy commission structure, but also be balanced with KPIs related to delivery (we don't want you over-selling what we can do).

Ideally we want someone based from our yard in Penryn, Cornwall but would consider hybrid working with some time at the office and some at home.

You MUST have a good knowledge of the commercial marine industry and basic floaty technical knowledge. A good understanding of our key markets (marine civils, diving, geotechnical etc) will help.

To apply, please send your CV jo@scafffloat.co.uk
