We are looking for a knowledgeable individual to join Talbots as Solicitor within our New Homes Department. To be successful, you will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience running a caseload specialising in New Homes conveyancing.


As a Solicitor within the New Homes Department, you will be expected to offer to offer an excellent service to clients and provide accurate legal guidance on a broad range of matters and assisting with the future development of the department.

What the job involves;

  • Conducting and managing cases from instruction through to post-completion.
  • Maintaining and developing strong client relationships with a wide range of clients and introducers.
  • Managing a full caseload focusing on New Build transactions, including sales and purchases of leasehold and freeholds, registered titles and unregistered titles, re-mortgages, plot purchases, transfers of equity, part-exchange work and shared ownership.
  • Providing an excellent service to clients and introducers, maintaining regular and proactive contact throughout the process to all parties.
  • Being actively involved in the development of the department, including the training and supervising of Paralegals and Trainee Solicitors


What you need:

  • The successful candidate will be a Solicitor, Legal Executive, and Licensed Conveyancer or experienced Conveyancer specialising in New Build Properties.
  • You will have an excellent knowledge of relevant law and practice, including a proven track-record of the Conveyancing processes.
  • Be detail-driven, have excellent communication skills and be a motivated & organised team-player.
