Salary: £65,000 per annum


La Fosse are thrilled to partner with a well financed and large Ed-Tech business with an exciting opportunity for a Database Administrator Based in the heart of London This role offers the opportunity to play a critical role in the efficiency, protection, reliability, and accessibility of the company's databases


Responsibilities:

  • 2 core areas of this role will focus on Data challenges & system administration
  • Monitor and optimize database performance, proactively identifying and resolving performance issues.
  • Troubleshoot database-related problems, including connectivity, performance, data integrity, and corruption issues.
  • Tech Stack: MSSQL / MySQL / Azure


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with SQL databases, especially MS SQL Server, MySQL, AWS Aurora, and ideally Google Big Query (GBQ).
  • Comprehensive understanding of database architecture, design, and management principles.
  • Expertise in using database monitoring tools, backup and recovery systems, and planning and executing disaster recovery strategies.
  • Experience in implementing and overseeing measures to improve database cybersecurity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and internal clients.
  • Excellent skills in communication and documentation.

  • £65k salary
  • 10% discretionary bonus
  • 5% on-call bonus
  • Cloud training (Certifications subsidised)
  • Hybrid working preferred (1/ 2 days in London per week) However for the right person a more remote basis would be possible
