We’re looking for a copywriter with B2B Tech PR experience and their finger on the zeitgeist pulse to join our fast-growing, supportive team and work across key client accounts – tech companies in the US, UK and EMEA.


Every day at ThoughtLDR is dynamic and different. As a member of our hybrid team, you’ll work closely with our Account Team on developing and bringing to life global communications campaigns across topics including AI, fintech, advanced compute such as quantum, photonics, spatial computing, robotics and automation, and clean tech.

We come together as a team regularly in our London office for company get-togethers, client meetings and industry events. We estimate that this role is a split of 90% remote working and 10% office based (Cambridge or London offices). 


What we're hiring for:

We're looking for a candidate with minimum four years B2B Tech PR copywriting or editorial experience who has a proven track record bringing complex subjects to life across multiple channels for digital, social and media channels and writing editorial-quality thought leadership for pioneers in business and tech. Ideal candidates may have a journalist background or have worked in agency before.


Being organised, working independently and efficiently is a must within this rapidly-growing agency. We work with IP-intensive businesses so an ability to absorb complex information and quickly become a capable translator of ground-breaking new tech - from quantum to AI to clean tech and machine vision and much, much more. Candidates must be comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders across the agency and client business and cannot be precious about feedback – either from colleagues or clients. Everything ThoughtLDR produces is a team effort.

The ideal candidate will:


  • have a great understanding of current technology trends both in tech, expertise copywriting for B2B Tech and a firm grasp of how businesses work 
  • be confident and comfortable working across multiple client accounts, covering a range of different technologies, industries and companies
  • be able to interview a CEO, CTO, or founder, identify a strong story that serves the client’s customers and business, and produce excellent writing superior attention to detail
  • understand how to take a hero piece of content and re-edit for social and PR placement
  • quickly develop a deep understanding of client businesses and draft quality press releases, media announcements and social posts
  • enjoy taking market research or customer success stories and turning them into long form reports


What you will be doing:

● Day to day copywriting across key client accounts, advising on timelines, ensuring deliverables are being met

● Contributing to team meetings, and liaising and updating senior leadership team on activities

● Interviewing clients and conducting background research 

● Working with agency account directors on ideation and storyboarding for clients

● Supporting media relations by reviewing pitch ideation and providing feedback 

● Creating award entries and speaker submissions

● Empowering our account teams and helping maintain our gold-standard output every day


The qualities you bring:

● Min four years experience copywriting for B2B tech clients - must be able to talk confidently about client businesses, technology and the industry they address

● Organised, creative, with attention to detail always

● Superb written and verbal communication skills - we will require a written test during the interview process

● Understanding of media, what makes a story work for media, the current news agenda and cultural zeitgeist – a lot of the work you produce will be pitched to editors by the account teams

● Understanding of key messages, SEO and what makes a great headline

● Ability to digest complex technical and commercial information and translate into editorial quality content

● Always well prepared, comfortable and confident interviewing c-suite executives

● Team Player with ability to work quickly and independently

● Ability to prioritise and organise tasks

● Great interpersonal skills – you’re curious about people and what makes them tick

● Can do attitude and natural problem solver
