Job Overview:

This position presents an exciting opportunity to play a key role in establishing a new & strategic operational function. As a Resourcing Manager you will primarily engage with each of our consultants across the global practice. This responsibility covers all consulting grades, with a particular focus in building relationships to understand career objectives, in order to provide access to the experiences and relationships they need to build their careers. The role is heavily people focused, built on establishing strong working relationships with a number of key stakeholders across the Firm.


Your day-to-day responsibilities:


  • Responsible for defining & executing a vision for Resource Management at VantagePoint. Helping to establish a new function within an already established consulting team (globally).
  • Identifying & implementing process improvements for Resource Management globally. Helping to establish new processes & improved ways of working.
  • Lead weekly resource capacity meetings and help to drive effective outcomes on resourcing decisions & issue resolution.
  • Work with practice leads / operations/ finance functions, to resolve any issues regarding under or over allocations of resource.
  • Responsible for assisting line managers in mapping consultants' skills to project needs, ensuring that the right expertise is available for each project.
  • Providing regular data reports, sharing insights on staffing trends & utilisation metrics with leadership and key stakeholders, presenting key findings at a regular/ defined cadence.
  • Ability to maintain constant knowledge of current and upcoming projects and business development activities as they relate / impact resourcing across the organisation.
  • Resource planning in an effort to help identify potential gaps or surpluses in capacity and making adjustments accordingly.


The kind of person we’re looking for:


  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in resource allocation, and/or resource management, ideally within a large or scaling professional services environment
  • Strong technology skills: experience working with resource management software is a plus
  • Proven ability to enable & drive positive change
  • Strong commercial and business awareness
  • Outstanding skills in diplomacy and negotiation
  • Strong project management and presentation skills
  • Client service focus
  • Proactive and resourceful; takes initiative
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
