Our client a leading Hedge Fund based in London is looking for Client Onboarding Analyst to join the Client Operations team in London to service a strategic business project. The initial hire will be on a 6mths FTC and have scope to extend and convert into a longer term engagement post performance, budget and headcount approval in Q2 2025.


The team act as a key business management function, acting as key conduit between the hedge fund and it's clients and counterparties. The successful hire will also have the opportunity to interface with key internal stakeholders across the business including Front Office PM's, Traders, Investor Relations, Operations, Legal, Compliance and Technology.


The Client Onboarding Analyst will take ownership for onboarding clients, and ensuring all due diligence and business checks are completed, ensuring regulatory rules and standards are adhered too.


Key requirements -

  • Strong work attitude and enjoy problem solving and taking initiative to service client and counterparty queries, and onboarding.
  • Working with cross functional teams across Operations, Legal, Compliance, Front Office and Technology.
  • Working with Financial intermediaries and being the 1st point of contact for the fund, and tracking queries with internal CRM and systems.
  • Working with Investor relations to present new products, services to clients and accounting for queries, clients projects and supporting meetings.
  • Working on initiatives to streamline clients, counterparty onboarding and enhancing processes, procedures and systems.

This is very much a dynamic business environment, well suited to someone that has prior experience within Client / Counterparty Onboarding Operations and is looking to progress their career in head fund. The role will provide scope to interact with key teams across the fund, build knowledge and a network which could lead to longer term opportunities.


Key experience required - prerequisite requirements for Hedge Fund Onboarding Analyst role. London:


  • 1 to 3 years experience within Client Onboarding / Counterparty Operations within Investment Banking, Asset Management, Hedge Fund, Regulated Hosted firms and Onboarding Specialists.
  • The team have hired Analyst with strong academic backgrounds, and apprenticeship schemes and a having a positive approach to servicing internal and external clients.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to converse in European languages proving highly advantageous.
  • Good IT Skills in Excel VBA, SQL, and Python are considered to be advantageous and the ability to automate processes and controls to improve client experiences and services.


Compensation - £40,000 to £50,000 base salary (pro rata over 6mths) + benefits and discretionary completion bonus.
