Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Sales Manager at McCulloch Group. The role will be responsible for Sales of McCulloch Plant specialist equipment globally. This will include developing strategic sales plans, identifying new business opportunities, establishing strong customer relationships, and meeting sales targets. While the McCulloch Plant office base is located in Hurlford, the role will require a high amount of international travel.
Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting
• Report monthly to the McCulloch Group on behalf of your designated sales area, the Input performance versus plan.
• Report monthly to the McCulloch Group on behalf of your designated sales area, the opportunity pipeline showing new opportunities added, opportunities moving through the various stages of negotiation to completion and implementation.
• Produce a monthly report that shares relevant information on new target opportunities, and Market & Competitor information.
• Produce a high level 30/60/90day report showing various tasks associated with achieving objectives.
• Understand and prepare commentary for monthly finance report.
• Produce short term forecasts for Group from the pipeline, order book and the order intake.
Budgets
• Collaborate with your colleagues in the production of annual Budgets and forecasts.
• Work with the sales, operations and finance team and any other parts of the business to produce the required information.
Strategic Development
• Prepare an annual business plan for your sales area utilising the Group reporting tools which clearly identifies the strategic development in each identified sales region.
• Consult with McCulloch Group to implement local initiatives into McCulloch Group business growth plan.
• Agree specific regional and personal objectives relevant to the strategic development of your sales area and drive personal accountability for the results.
• Manage a personal strategic value sales process which enhances the McCulloch Group margin opportunity and in turn aligns with sales growth plan.
• Working with Marketing to generate specific marketing campaigns, aimed at raising brand awareness of McCulloch Group.
• Take ownership of the strategic development plans for the 5-year development of your sales area focused on target market penetration.
Qualifications
• Relevant Degree or equivalent sales experience.
• Experience of Selling capital equipment both nationally and internationally.
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyse market trends and develop strategic sales plans
• Experience in the railroad industry or related field
• Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools
