We are looking for an enthusiastic Private Client Lawyer to join our Team. Whilst experience is preferred it is not essential. A traditional firm but under new ownership, we are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic person to work with the Managing Partner across two offices at an exciting time in the firms development.


The role will involve advising clients, estate planning including Wills, LPAs, Trusts and advising (or assisting) with estate administration. You will be comfortable in meeting with clients on a day to day basis. Support and training will be provided to the level needed.


The candidate will be well presented with a positive and professional manner, a strong team player who strives for high standards in their work and is able to manage their own workload. While the role is suitable for a Junior Solicitor or an executive, more Senior candidates should also apply. We would expect the candidate to be able to demonstrate some experience within a Private Client Advice role.


The team have a strong workflow and strong growth plans and the candidate will need to be able to take on a sensible workload upon appointment, whether in their own right or providing or being supported by the team. The role comes with a clear progression path for those who desire it.

 Responsibilities
  • Meeting and interviewing clients
  • Take client's instructions and advising client on the law and legal issues.
  • Drafting documents, letters and contracts tailored to the individual needs of the client
  • Corresponding with clients, other professional advisors
  • Checking all documentation prior to signing and implementing
  • Working in a team and assisting colleagues
  • Regularly reflect, identify and record learning needs with supervising solicitor


Qualifications and Skills

  • Advisory skills in a Private Client setting
  • Advanced MS skills and competent in the use of databases and systems
  • Strong customer facing / customer service skills
  • Flexible, adaptable and comfortable with responsibility
