Based near Guildford, Caper & Berry is a luxury event caterer, delivering exceptional food, service and event management at venues across London and the South-East.


With our services in high demand, we are currently looking to increase our sales and planning team based at our Head Office in Eashing, Surrey, with a confident, experienced and enthusiastic Senior Sales Executive/Event Planner.


The successful applicant will be organised and highly motivated with a great knowledge of, and experience within, the event catering industry. They will be a dynamic self-starter who enjoys developing client and venue relationships, winning business and seamlessly guiding clients through the initial planning stages of their event.


A real passion for food and the ability to deliver an exceptional sales process to clients for a variety of events including weddings, parties and corporate functions are a must.


The role will involve

  • Taking enquiries from clients in a professional and helpful manner, talking through their requirements and advising them as necessary
  • Preparing cost sheets and creative proposals for weddings, parties and corporate events
  • Hosting tastings and attending occasional meetings/site visits
  • Converting enquiries into confirmed events
  • Proactively developing client and venue relationships to encourage more business
  • Preparing accurate and detailed function sheets for each confirmed event and conducting a thorough hand over process with the event management team 
  • Attending occasional events to help build client/venue relationships or increase venue/operational knowledge


Who we are looking for

  • Experienced sales executive within event catering
  • Knowledgeable about planning weddings, parties and corporate events
  • A passion for high quality food and service
  • Confident and enthusiastic with a can-do attitude
  • Must live within commuting distance of Eashing, Godalming
  • Car driver who is happy to travel to our client sites around the South-East
  • Knowledge of venues in London and the South-East is advantageous
