Interim Manufacturing Quality Assurance Lead

I'm seeking an Interim QA Manager to join a global FMCG business in the Home Counties. In this role, you will manage Quality Assurance and Site Food Safety activities at the manufacturing plant, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.


You will lead the broader QA team and serve as the primary point of escalation for any issues that arise for an inital period of 3 months which can be extended.


The Role

You will be responsible for leading and developing the site, continuously improving plant performance, representing the Quality team within the business, and promoting a strong QA and Food Safety culture across the site.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee performance and development of QA on-site.
  • Lead incident management processes through training and coaching.
  • Proactively implement regulatory, customer, and 3PL standards.
  • Manage the quality budget and ensure plant finances are controlled.


The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in a QA Manager role.
  • Preferably experienced in the Food industry or holding a food-based degree.
  • HACCP Level 3 certification is essential.
  • Strong understanding of leading QA practices within a manufacturing plant.
  • ERP skills, including SAP, JDE, and Navision, are highly desirable.


This is Mon-Fri positon with no shift work, it is outside IR35 with a day rate from £300 - £350.
