Oxford, United Kingdom Oxa Full time
Description

Who are we?

Oxa is enabling the transition to self-driving vehicles through an initial focus on the most commercially advanced sector; the autonomous shuttling of goods and people.

We are home to some of the world’s leading experts on autonomous vehicles, creating solutions such as Oxa Driver, equipping vehicles with full self-driving functionality; Oxa MetaDriver, using Generative AI to accelerate and assure the safety of deployments; and Oxa Hub, a set of cloud-based offerings for autonomous fleet management. Our technology is being deployed across the UK and the U.S, and we’re partnering with a fast-growing ecosystem of operators, vehicle OEMs and equipment makers serving autonomous transportation globally as it advances.

Based in Oxford, and with offices in Canada and the U.S, Oxa was founded in 2014 and is growing rapidly (350+ ‘Oxbots’ to date). Our purpose is to change the way the Earth moves, through an uncompromising focus on safety, efficiency and explainability of our AI approaches. The company has attracted $225 million from leading investors so far, with $140 million raised in the last Series C funding round in January 2023.

Your team

You will be the Senior Product Manager for a group of cross-functional Data Platforms teams within Oxa, incorporating the following key teams: Data Engineering; MLOps; Replay/Simulation as a Service; and Telemetry & Metrics. These teams are located in both our Oxford, UK HQ & Toronto, CA offices and support the broader organisation and our external customers.

Members within Data Platforms are a dynamic and engaged group of people from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds working together towards our goal of Universal Autonomy. They have an obsessive customer focus, deep technical understanding of data, and how the cloud can achieve greater insights. You will be responsible for owning and developing key data processing platforms across DaaS, gathering and translating complex business challenges to technical ideas and product/tool/services. Product Managers work backwards from our customers, driving the vision and strategy, and building the Data Platforms roadmap. They lead design discussions, manage deliverables, evangelise our product/tool/services across the company to drive uptake, and gather feedback to continuously measure and improve the customer experience of our offerings.

  • Identifying key metrics to track uptake, performance and quantify problems
  • Tracking and reporting team activity to Data Platforms Director through written and verbal methods including monthly business reviews
  • Maintain an up-to-date awareness of emerging technologies across the data domain that could improve productivity & efficiency within Oxa
  • Other responsibilities as needed to help ensure the success of the teams, identified in partnership with the Data Platforms Director

Requirements

  • Substantial product management experience in a software engineering or robotics domain
  • Experience working with cloud technologies and big data environments e.g. Google GCP, Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS Track record of fostering cross-functional collaboration between engineering, design, marketing, sales and other departments

  • Must have a strong ability to manage stakeholder communication & risk management across multiple technology domains
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to write clear documentation, articulate progress, risks, challenges and strategy to both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Highly analytical demeanour with an ability to make decisions using both quantitative and qualitative data to gauge exciting priorities across business units. Quickly move between contexts, and demonstrate agility and focus while continuing to deliver
  • Find opportunities and drive focused solutions for our complex problems. Lead and grow positive relationships with Cloud Data Platform vendors and internal business stakeholders to drive adoption of these platforms at scale with speed and purpose
  • Experience managing a product/tool/service
