About the Company:

Our partner, a leading consultancy firm in the Capital Markets operations industry, is seeking a Senior Consultant to join their team. With a commitment to excellence and a practitioner-led approach, they provide top-tier consulting services to FinTech’s, Financial Market Infrastructures (FMIs), Investment Managers, and banks. They pride themselves on their deep industry expertise and collaborative approach to helping clients achieve their goals.


About the Role:

As a Senior Consultant, you will take the lead on incident management, support risk owners with the RCSA process, and provide expert guidance on process and control improvements. You’ll be producing detailed risk reports, tracking key metrics, and assessing vulnerabilities—all contributing to enhancing the operational resilience of their clients.


Responsibilities:

  • Activities such as incident management, investigation, and closure
  • Supporting risk updates (RCSA process), working with risk owners to review their risks.
  • Identifying process and control improvements and subsequently advising the business on how to implement these.
  • Producing reports detailing incidents and other risk issues, for submission to the Risk Committee
  • Tracking risk metrics
  • Assessing vulnerability and criticality of resources (in line with FCA requirements)
  • Updating and maintaining the Firm’s internal risk management system.


Requirements:

  • Experience in documenting risks and controls in a GRC system.
  • The ability to interact with and challenge stakeholders at all levels of the business in a confident and respectful manner.
  • Robust experience in incident management, root cause analysis, and risk reporting.
  • Previous experience using a risk management system.
  • 2-4 years experience in financial services in an operational risk role.
