I’m partnering with a pioneering AI company whose premise is to help Datacentres and Industrial Manufacturers to reduce their energy output and improve their cost efficiency.


This innovative team is on a mission to revamp their systems, incorporating advanced web applications that empower both their clients and internal teams.


They’re assembling a specialized team for this major transformation and are seeking a Senior Java Engineer with deep experience in legacy migration, Node.js, and web applications to take a key role in the journey.


🔧 What You’ll Do:

As our Senior Java Engineer, you will:

  • Lead the migration of legacy Java applications to updated Java versions and microservices architectures, enhancing both backend and web application functionalities.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and optimize web solutions that meet scalability, usability, and performance standards.
  • Leverage your expertise in Node.js to integrate backend services seamlessly with responsive and dynamic web applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in both legacy and modernized environments, ensuring system stability and a high-quality user experience.


đź’ˇ Experience You Bring:

  • Extensive experience in Java, with a focus on migrating legacy applications to modern, scalable frameworks.
  • Proven expertise in Node.js and its integration with Java applications, especially for web applications.
  • Strong experience developing and optimizing web applications for performance, accessibility, and user engagement.


🛠️ Technical Skills You’ll Need:

  • Proficiency in Java (especially with legacy-to-modern transition experience) and Node.js.
  • Experience with web development frameworks, front-end technologies (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript), and responsive design.
  • Solid understanding of databases, both relational and NoSQL.


Salary: ÂŁ80k + benefits

Location: Remote, with very occasional travel to client sites
