Freja is the UK's leading bone broth brand. We’ve achieved rapid growth across all sales channels since launching in 2020, successfully raised an investment round, and won a few awards along the way (including Food & Drink Startup of the Year, and Best Visual Identity in Food & Drink Category).


We’re a small team that punches above its weight. We like to work with people who are proactive, entrepreneurial and commercial, with first-class communication skills. The key to success in our business is to hit the ground running, take ownership of your role, manage upwards, and make great things happen.


The business is remote-first, with frequent face to face meetings and workshops (1x-2x / week). As such, the ideal candidate will need the ability to travel to Stroud, Gloucestershire within 90 minutes from home)


The Role & Responsibilities -


There’s an exciting opening for an experienced Social Media & Content Manager to join the team. Reporting into the Head of Brand, this role takes hands-on day to day ownership of our organic social media channels.


The Social Media & Content Manager plays a key role in our strategic objective to "make bone broth big" and "make Freja famous".


  • Hands-on day-to-day management of Organic Social channels eg Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Linkedin
  • Content Strategy and Optimisation for Paid Social channels
  • Line management of a Customer Engagement Exec to grow a Facebook Community and Social Engagement
  • Line management of a Video Producer to deliver content for Organic and Paid Social
  • Copywriting for campaigns on all channels e.g hooks, headlines, captions for Organic Social, Paid Social, Email
  • Planning the content calendar for Organic Social and Email Campaigns
  • Input into, and own the delivery of, the Paid Social ad creative production cycle
  • Briefing the in-house Videographer and ensuring all content is produced to a high standard
  • Collaborating with the broader marketing, ecom and sales teams to ensure the needs of the wider business are incorporated into the content calendar
  • Reporting on all KPIs related to Organic Social and Content, not just on a weekly level (follower growth was X) but on an individual creative asset level so that we can build a test and learn approach to content creation in the business


Key Skills & Experience -


  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years working a key social media role for a similar brand
  • Obsessive social media user, up to date with platforms and trends
  • Be able to clearly articulate complex topics in digital content (e.g. nutrition and health issues)
  • Able to conceptualise and produce a wide variety of content in line with brand guidelines
  • Competent with graphic design and editing tools (eg Figma, Capcut)
  • Willingness to be camera-facing on social media channels is a plus
  • Experience in a consumer products business (either food or wellness)
  • A genuine interest in our brand and our product - if you don’t love it you can’t sell it
  • Highly organised, great communicator and team player
  • Current right to work and live in the UK
