My client is seeking a dedicated and skilled MEP Quantity Surveyor who:

  • Has Expertise: You have a strong background in MEP quantity surveying with a proven track record.

Your Role: As an MEP Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in our team, with responsibilities including:

  • Conducting feasibility studies and advising on procurement strategies and contract selection.
  • Writing and undertaking procurement reports.
  • Applying value management techniques at the outset of a project.
  • Managing, estimating, and planning costs, including taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.
  • Negotiating and agreeing on final accounts.
  • Representing the firm to clients, stakeholders, and other consultants at all project stages.
  • Handling contractual frameworks and standard forms of contract.
  • Identifying and acting upon opportunities to enhance our cost management procedures, templates, and products.


About You:

  • Previous experience in a cost consultancy practice is preferred but not essential.
  • Demonstrates a strong background in MEP quantity surveying with a proven track record.
  • Ideally, you are MRICS or working towards chartership.
  • Essential experience with pre-contract services.
  • Expertise in cost planning, budgeting, and estimating.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law and contractual frameworks in construction.
  • Proven ability to undertake and advise on Contract Administration.
  • Understanding of value engineering and life cycle costing.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices.
  • Awareness of critical issues such as Sustainability, Social Value, and Carbon Reduction impacting the Public Sector.
