Business Development Manager – Bristol

Job Description:

  • Through new and ongoing relationship building, keep abreast of current trends within the energy and environmental markets (e.g. Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Renewables, Water Treatment, etc)
  • Identify new market opportunities and profile customer needs, from which to develop new sales campaigns and value propositions.
  • Develop a strategic approach to grow our business in the energy and environmental industries.
  • Develop and maintain Business Plans for established clients and capture plans for new clients.
  • Create sales presentation material as well as contribute to new service introduction initiatives.
  • Support the promotion of the brand through digital means and attend key industry events.
  • Lobby decision-makers to penetrate new markets.
  • Drive market and competitive analysis
  • Answer bids and support deal closure.


Responsibilities:

  • Growing and developing our future client accounts by designing your business plan and strategy with the British engineering market.
  • Creating new business leads through networking and closing business with key customers.
  • Participating in the recruitment of our new consultants.


The ideal candidate will possess a curiosity for the Engineering sector, with a result-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset. They will be comfortable working in an international and fast paced environment.

  • You think strategically and work well under tight deadlines.
  • You have excellent communication and can navigate multi-level organisations.
  • Ideally, you have experience in complex product sales or consulting services.
  • Ideally, you have experience in managing relationships with external stakeholders (customers, suppliers or partners).
  • Previous experience in business development or key account management would be beneficial.


Experience required:

  • Bachelors or master's degree in Engineering, Management or Business administration.
  • Significant industrial experience in a relevant industry, such as Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Renewables, Water Treatment, etc.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading teams and performing business development activities.
  • Being result oriented, having an entrepreneurial mindset, strong communication skills and natural leadership is crucial.
