Are you an inspirational marketing leader, looking to step up into your 1st Marketing Director role? This B2B Marketing Director role, reports to the Senior Director Revenue & Marketing and we’re looking for someone with solid Salesforce experience, ideally from an engineering, utilities or facilities management related sector to develop a high performing team, a high-quality lead pipeline and good visibility of data. The role remit includes creating and delivering an effective marketing strategy to drive growth.


B2B Marketing Director

Key remit of role

- Drive the diagnosis of the UK market to understand and predict the key growth areas and risks for the brand and business units, measured by market share and targeted growth strategies

- Increase brand awareness and the benefits of solutions across target markets to enable lead generation

- Differentiate the brand offering in the marketplace to ensure preference for the buyer, enabling sales growth and margin

- Understand and effectively translate business line strategies, engaging audiences at all levels within the market and customer base

- Creating and driving an operating based marketing strategy which brings innovation and cutting-edge creativity ensuring that design and content is compelling and engaging, bringing the business’s offerings, purpose and business strategies to life

- Protecting and advancing the business reputation, through external communication platforms. Working in conjunction with the external communications and public relations team

- Driving insights and reporting to understand the pipeline and opportunities, as well as showcasing progress against business objectives

- Creating the right conditions and capability to successfully nurture qualified prospects to opportunities, using appropriate inbound and outbound marketing techniques

- Sharing best practice at operating and group level


Skills

- Excellent influencing and persuasion skills - at C suite level

- Ability to create a vision and lead a large, senior team

- Ability to liaise and drive complex strategies through the business – communications, sales, training and development

- Able to understand complex market and service offerings and be able to interpret into pertinent customer solutions

- Role modelling the business’s values and creating a coaching culture which enables a sense of belonging and which unlocks performance and potential

- Developing a high performing team, ensuring that resources are in the right place, at the right time, to win and achieve business targets

- Accountable for engagement with the stakeholder to discuss and agree marketplace / customer and business needs that will help drive financial growth

- Developing & managing the operational budget for the function


Experience

- Previous Marketing Leadership at Head of or Director level

- Previous experience operating at a level that drives the strategic direction of marketing and in turn business development

- Experience of new product / service development and creation of compelling proposals for strategic customers

- P&L and budget management

- Engineering, large-scale manufacturing and Hi-Tech industries experience would offer a significant advantage

- Professional qualification and in marketing and associated professional membership
