London Area, United Kingdom Willmott Dixon Interiors Full time

Join Our Team as a Project Director for Large-Scale Refurbishment Projects (£50 million+)

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Project Director to join our London team, where you will lead and drive the performance of large-scale refurbishment projects. This leading role offers significant autonomy, allowing you to manage your own team. You will be leading and driving project performance in terms of delivery, compliance and profit.

At Willmott Dixon Interiors we are committed to delivering an industry-leading service to our customers. We believe in building strong relationships and gaining a deep understanding of our clients’ aspirations, project goals, and potential challenges. Your collaborative approach will ensure that we not only meet but exceed expectations, delivering substantial benefits in the key areas that matter most.

Role Overview:

As a Project Director, you will oversee a major live project (and precon of future projects). You will have full control over these initiatives, with overall responsibility for team management, health and safety, and environmental compliance. Your role will involve:

Planning, programming, and strategizing across all project elements.

Ensuring meticulous planning from design through to procurement and completion.

Supporting site teams to achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage large-scale refurbishment projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

Drive collaboration among project teams and stakeholders to optimise resources and meet project timelines.

Adapt to often fast-paced refurbishment projects, demonstrating quick thinking and flexibility in planning.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging learning and development among team members.

Qualifications:

Extensive construction knowledge and expertise in large-scale refurbishment projects

Strong leadership capabilities, with a practical, organised, and resilient approach

Proven ability to build and motivate high-performing teams

Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with customers and consultants

A commitment to continuous learning and improvement

Proven track record of leading or managing the de-risking of projects during the pre-construction services agreement phase to ensure smooth execution.

Expertise in reading and accurately interpreting contract documents, programmes, drawings and technical specifications and ensuring project team(s) understanding of drawings, technical specifications and programme.

At Willmott Dixon Interiors, we are dedicated to making a positive impact through sustainable practices. Our commitment to sustainability is integral to every project we undertake, starting from the top.

Values that we live by and would hope you do too – Courage, being Open and Respect for everyone (COR).

Why Join Us?

This is more than just a job; it’s a chance to build a career for a lifetime. If you’re ready to take on this challenge and lead projects that make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
