Job Title: Business Development Manager (Commercial Manager)

Location: Central London (Hybrid - 3 days per week in office)

Salary: £50k DOE + Commission

Social Chameleon is a multi-award winning social media agency based in London. Over the last 3 years, we've gone from our Founder's bedroom, to a Central London office, with a team of 36+ employees & contractors. We're now embarking on our next stage of growth, scale-up.



Role Overview:

As our Business Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of our growth strategy, steering Social Chameleon through this pivotal phase of development. You will leverage your agency experience and deep understanding of the brand landscape to expand our business through attaining mid-sized and enterprise-level clients. You will also play a critical role in overseeing our accounts management team, ensuring we continue to nurture our existing client relationships and capitalise on up-sell opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Growth: Develop and implement strategies to expand our client base across the UK, Europe, and globally, focusing on mid-sized and enterprise-level brands.
  • Leadership: As part of the senior leadership team, contribute to the overall strategic direction of the agency, driving initiatives that support our scale-up phase.
  • Client Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, fostering relationships with potential clients and partners.
  • Client Management: Oversee the accounts management team, ensuring top-notch client service and identifying opportunities for up-sell and cross-sell.
  • Market Insight: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities to ensure Social Chameleon remains at the forefront of the social media landscape.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our creative, strategy, and account teams to develop compelling pitches and proposals that meet client needs.


Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within an agency environment, with a strong understanding of the agency and brand landscape.
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to think strategically and drive long-term growth.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
  • Sales Acumen: Strong track record of business development success, particularly in acquiring mid-sized and enterprise-level clients.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and partners.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scale-up environment and managing multiple priorities.
