Unique Homestays is a seeking a Homestay Specialist to work within our passionate, creative and expert Homestay Team. This is a sales role with a difference, perfect for someone who is confident, efficient and can deliver a truly unique customer experience.


The Role

The role of a Homestay Specialist is wide and varied. You will often be the first voice of Unique Homestays, building strong relationships with guests and owners alike. Your primary focus is to deliver a personable and memorable experience for our discerning clientele. This will include everything from providing a bespoke service to brides and grooms, helping arrange last minute luxury escapes to organising large celebratory occasions in grand country homes.


The Person

The ideal candidate will immerse themselves in our portfolio of outstanding luxury homes, have the opportunity to visit them, and become an expert on all their distinctive quirks and revelling in sharing these with our clients. You will be passionate about the challenge of providing exceptional customer service, attentive to the needs of our exclusive clientele and confident in creating bespoke travel solutions.

You will be part of a team working to ensure a consistent level of excellence and expertise in all communications, as you would expect when representing a luxury brand. Relevant experience, especially that of providing a personal level of customer care in the luxury market would be a strong advantage.

The Specifics

  • This is a permanent full-time role, working 5 days per week (37.5 hours) on rotation which will include a regular pattern of weekends and late evenings.
  • Starting salary is dependent on experience but will be in the region of £28k-29k.
  • Group commission scheme applicable.
  • We operate a hybrid work policy with the option to work some of the time from home, and some from our offices in a converted country cottage in the heart of Cornwall.

Experience and Skills

  • A genuine interest in, and knowledge of, beautiful properties and luxury travel.
  • Exceptional telephone skills to ensure that both guests and owners receive first class customer service at all times.
  • Effective time management skills, and the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills accompanied by a high level of attention to detail.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A confident and articulate communicator, both in the written and spoken word.
  • Accomplished at crafting an excellent standard of written and verbal communication.
  • Good working knowledge of the internet and IT skills including Outlook and Excel.
