Blair West are supporting a business who are a leading provider of comprehensive subcontracting services and are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Outbound Business Development Lead. This individual contributor role will play a pivotal role in executing outbound sales strategies to maximise business opportunities across the diverse service offerings.

The opportunity:

  • Implement effective outbound sales strategies to achieve individual sales targets. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with company objectives.
  • Engage with current and new customers to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities. Foster strong relationships with clients through effective communication.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales team to create a strategic plan for outbound sales efforts providing insights on customer preferences and market trends.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with customers ensuring a customer-centric approach in all outbound sales interactions.
  • Track and report on individual performance against set sales targets. Utilise the ERP system and sales analytics to identify areas for improvement and refinement of strategies.
  • Actively contribute to acquiring new business and expanding the customer base. Identify and pursue strategic partnerships to enhance sales opportunities.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics. Provide valuable insights to enhance outbound sales strategies.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of engineering principles including sheet metalwork, machining, pressings, welding, laser cutting and powder coating processes.

You'll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:

  • At least 10 years experience in B2B sales in a manufacturing and/or subcontracting environment.
  • A strong understanding of the subcontracting industry and related services.
  • Proficient in using an ERP system with CRM function alongside office 365 applications.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A results-driven background with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
