It's an exciting time at AXA Insurance, with significant investment planned to transform, deliver new digital services to our customers and streamline and automate our business processes. As part of this, we're looking for a talented individual to join our business development team on a permanent basis.

As Business Development Manager, you're someone who's passionate about growing profitable relationships with brokers. Within this role you will use your skills and experience to build and maintain a robust pipeline of new business opportunities, and be visible in the insurance market.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, at either our Leeds or Manchester office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you'll be doing:

Develop strong relationships with a designated panel of brokers in either Leeds or Newcastle, owning the generation of profitable business. Build, manage and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, to deliver strategy and increase opportunities. Prepare, design, implement and review set development plans. Proactively develop a robust pipeline of appropriate new business opportunities. Plan, forecast and set the operational targets to achieve the strategic development plan. Identify new deals, assess feasibility and project manage the implementation of new deals. Effectively promote and deploy AXA's strategy, product range, propositions and key differentiators to leverage commercial opportunities. Undertake profit reviews to identify areas for improvement and lead conversations with brokers to agree actions to optimise profitability. Support underwriters with rate actions as necessary.
