Are you an experienced and dedicated professional looking to take on a challenging and diverse role in the legal environment? We are currently seeking a Practice Manager to join a reputable Firm and become an integral part of their continued success.
As the Practice Manager, you will report directly to the Board of Directors and CEO, taking on a wide range of responsibilities to facilitate the delivery of the firm's legal services. This hands-on role will require excellent organisational skills and the ability to find solutions to complex issues, as well as the ability to thrive under pressure.
The ideal candidate must have previous relevant experience within the legal environment, a comprehensive understanding of the Solicitor Accounts Rules, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong IT skills and the ability to adhere to and manage deadlines with minimal supervision are also essential. Ideally you would have held the post of COFA and have a good understanding of regulatory compliance.
In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to Lexcel applications, internal training for Lexcel compliance, updating office policies and procedures in line with guidelines, maintaining the firm's website, and providing information to the firm's accountants for annual audits and accounts. You will manage a small finance team.
You will also be responsible for the Firms VAT returns, payroll, NI/Tax payments, staff benefits scheme maintenance, CQS applications, annual training courses, practising certificate renewal applications, and much more.
