Senior/Research Scientist

to join their busy team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual experienced in HDX-MS to join the Mass Spectrometry team within the Protein Structure and Biophysics Group.

Key Responsibilities will include:nand mechanistic understanding of target and therapeutic molecule interactions are driven by our department using Mass Spectrometry, Cryo-EM, X-ray crystallography, SAXS, NMR and other biophysical techniques.ntrack record in the design and execution of HDX-MS experiments with a contextual understanding of their results alongside other structural data.nand prioritise the demands from multiple projects.

Essential Requirements:nor BSc with 5+ years of relevant laboratory-based experience in the design, execution and analysis of HDX-MS experiments for antibody/protein/ligand interactions.nwith Waters data processing software packages (PLGS) and DynamX™.nknowledge Waters HDX-MS system.nof structural visualisation tools (PyMOL, Chimera or similar).nwith HDX-MS experiments using NBE and NCE molecules.norganisational, communication, record keeping and team-working abilities.

Desirable Requirements:nanalysis of membrane proteins.nand maintenance of Waters LC/MS equipment.nability with Native MS, ion mobility MS, SEC-MS or intact mass LC/MS.ntrack record of publications related to mass spectrometry in peer reviewed journals.nof recombinant protein expression systems and PTMs.nknowledge of Thermo Scientific Orbitrap MS systems.
