Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the dynamic team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support the learning and development of pupils, ensuring a positive and engaging classroom experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the classroom teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and activities.
Provide one-on-one support to pupils, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
Help prepare classroom materials and resources.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers.
Support the social and emotional development of pupils.
Supervise pupils during break times and school activities.
Participate in school events, meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey.
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
A relevant qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) is advantageous.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
Basic understanding of child development and educational practices.
An enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.
