Job Description
The Head of Data and AI role is to provide expert technical services, planning, and implementation support to data mapping, model design and migration planning. The candidate will also require software engineering experience to ensure that strategy can be delivered using a data centric approach.nThe Head of Data and AI will act as an ambassador for the digital business and will be called upon to act as the principal liaison between technical support and professional services consultants and delivery teams. They will interface daily with the Business Units core functions including sales, technical support, and project management. The Head of Data and AI reports to the Digital Operations Director and will support in contributing to and delivering the UK digital business strategy, identifying and securing the skills that Assystem need to develop the business.nAlready working in a leadership role, we would expect that you would bring a good network and experience to enhance the Assystem offering. You will be a self-starter who is keen to develop data practices for Assystem's clients.nOutstanding communication skills are essential as we expect the successful candidate to work collaboratively with customers, in-house teams, and members of the supply chain. This will include Suppliers, Consultants, Contractors, the Project Delivery Teams, Commercial and Legal Teams.nRegular travel will be required to main project offices and project sites to interact with customers, colleagues, contractors, and consultants.nAssystem are interested in speaking with the positive outlook and energy to:nBring an entrepreneurial approach to developing both our clients and Assystem’s businessesnProvide proactive leadershipnBring a collaborative approach to team development and deliverynBe a self-starter and enthusiastic about solving problemsnBe prepared to take risksnBe able to communicate complex ideas effectively to people from different occupational backgroundsnBuild strong relationships with people at all levelsnTravel to our client sites or occasionally international assignments to develop new businessnKey to this role will be the ability to advance data practices to enable Assystem to contribute to the delivery the UK industrial strategy and will require activities such as:nKeeping abreast of best practice and new developments in industrynDeveloping people, from graduates to experienced members of the teamnWorking with colleagues across the globe to bring in, or share, best practicenIdentifying areas where digital transformation will return valuenHave knowledge of competing AI and other data solutions, be able to recommend and then implement solutions in client environments or on cloud platforms.nSupport the implementation of industrial data environmentsnBe able to deploy DevOps to develop data productsnAdvise on best practices for use of data management and governancenSupport to marketing of Assystem Data offeringnSupport & develop Web, literature, interviews, presenting at relevant customer focused conferences
Qualifications
Experience from highly regulated industries such as Nuclear, Energy, Transportation, and Infrastructure is highly desirable, but Assystem will consider candidates from other industries with complex data requirements.nBachelor’s degree or the equivalent in related fieldnAt least 5 years’ experience in a relevant disciplinenExcellent oral and written communication skills including public speaking and negotiationnAbility to work independently and as part of a team
