Credit Controller and Sales Ledger Administrator

We are currently hiring for a Credit Control and Sales Ledger Admin at our Head Office in Torquay.
Working hours will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9-5.
Previous experience of Credit Control is preferred with a strong Customer Service background. A reasonable proficiency with MS Excel is a key requirement. The successful candidate must be able to work both independently and within a team.
Key responsibilities include:no Setting up and maintaining customer account detailsno Check the banks every morning and periodically throughout the day and allocate payments onto CRM system – advising depots where necessaryno Bank Reconciliationsno Chase/monitor customers – daily/continuallyno Report any overdue debtsno Liaise with customer/individual site agents/QS’s pre-empting due payments and providing copy invoices, statements etcno Liaise with depots regarding customer queriesno Escalate issues to Line Managerno Complete Cheque paying in slip – deposit in bank as requiredno Cash Customer payment allocation on CASH ledgerno Supporting Sales Ledger where required
Key Skills:no Sage Line 50 Experienceno Excellent telephone mannerno Strong communicationno Attention to detailno The ability to work to targets and manage a busy workloadno The ability to identify and escalate any issues of concernno Highly Competent in using Excel, Word & Outlook
