Head of People
A market-leading producer of natural plant-based ingredients for the UK’s top foodservice brands, food manufacturers, and recipe box providers is experiencing strong growth driven by favorable consumer trends. Operating from a well-invested site in Nottingham, the business is poised for continued expansion in the coming years.
To support this growth, the company is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of People. This key leadership role will be responsible for driving people initiatives, developing a positive workplace culture, and contributing to the overall success and growth of the business. The ideal candidate will be an experienced HR professional with a proven track record in developing and implementing human resources strategies that align with the company’s values and business objectives.
Head of People's Main Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with the company’s objectives, vision, and values.
* Collaborate with departmental heads to understand staffing needs and plan for future requirements in line with growth plans.
* Oversee the entire talent acquisition process, ensuring high-quality recruitment, induction, and training for all new employees.
* Lead and develop cultural initiatives that enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
* Coordinate initiatives for employee development, performance management, and succession planning.
* Act as a key contact for employee relations issues, driving a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
* Ensure compliance with current and upcoming employment laws and regulations.
* Oversee HR operations, including policies, procedures, and record-keeping.
Head of People's Key Requirements
* Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role within the chilled foods manufacturing sector.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Demonstrated experience in driving and implementing cultural change within an organization.
* In-depth knowledge of HR processes, systems, and best practices.
* Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
* Experience in supporting ESG and sustainability initiatives would be advantageous.
Head of People's Remuneration Package
* Salary up to £80K
* Contributory pension scheme
