Finatal are retained to source a technically strong Finance Director to join a highly acquisitive hospitality group that are scaling rapidly. The business are in need of someone who has experience in a multi-site environment with exposure to stock, FnB, audit, year-end and ideally led fundraising.

This is a hands on, end-end Finance Director position that will suit someone who has a proven track record within a multi-site hospitality/leisure business and bring about change autonomously. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, self-starter who is looking to work alongside some very impressive operators.

Key Responsibilities:nDevelop and implement financial strategies to drive profitability and growth.nMonitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.nOversee cash flow management, ensuring adequate liquidity for operational needs and strategic investments.nMaintain financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.nLead the year-end financial close process, including preparation of financial statements and liaising with auditors.nCoordinate audit engagements, ensuring timely completion and resolution of audit queries.nReview accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.nConduct financial due diligence for potential acquisitions, assessing financial risks and opportunities.nPrepare financial models and analysis to support investment decisions and negotiations.nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate the financial impact of acquisition targets and integration plans.nReview and negotiate property leases, ensuring favorable terms and mitigating risks for the organization.nCoordinate with legal counsel to address lease-related legal issues and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.nAssess lease agreements for potential financial implications and advise senior management on strategic lease decisionsnManage relationships with external service providers, including payroll, tax advisors, and other financial vendors.nEnsure timely and accurate processing of payroll and compliance with tax regulations.nNegotiate service agreements and monitor performance to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications and Skills:nQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)nProven experience as a Finance Director or senior financial leadership role within a multi-site hospitality/leisure business.nExtensive knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.nDemonstrated experience in financial due diligence, acquisitions, and lease negotiations.nStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.nResults-oriented mindset with a focus on driving performance and achieving business objectives.nProactive and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
