Role SummarynCollaborate with category designers and buyers to create standout FatFace product ranges that exceed our customers’ expectations. Design commercial, innovative, and unique graphics for kidswear and womenswear garments, ensuring attention to detail and sustainable practices that embody the FatFace style and durability.

Role ResponsibilitiesnCreate graphic direction in line with product strategy and stories. Develop mood boards and colour references to illustrate vision.nGain inspiration from trips, exhibitions, fairs, and suppliers to ensure graphic design is innovative and unique to FatFace.nDevelop artworks in line with the company critical path to maximize selling time and profitabilitynWork alongside garment designers and buyers to ensure the range is balanced, offers customer choice, and evolves continually.nUnderstand department performance to optimize sales potential.nMeet both long lead-time and short lead-time design specifications promptly.nLiaise directly with suppliers to ensure clear understanding of artwork and techniques to deliver the best possible product.nEnsure designs are fit for purpose and maintain high-quality standards.nProtect FatFace heritage by drawing inspiration from archives and external influences.nCollaborate with licensed partners to ensure graphics are unique to FatFace.nResponsible for all kidswear and womenswear graphics, supporting menswear as needed.nProduce clear, concise CAD design specs and liaise with factories and suppliers.nCreate graphics to presentation and Factory Pack standards.nPresent ranges to the team and CEO for sign-off and adjustments.nResearch themes and directions for upcoming collections.nCreate and present trend packs, mood boards, and forecasts for future seasons.

Skills and ExperiencenMinimum of 4 years' experience in graphic garment design with a graphics design qualification. Please submit work examples with your application.nProficient in Adobe packages (Photoshop and Illustrator) enabling to generate graphic artworks to a high standard.nStrong hand drawing skillsnInnovative and creative with strong presentation skills.nExcellent communication skills with externals and senior management.nStrong research abilities.nOrganized and able to prioritize workload effectively.nAbility to react quickly in a fast-paced environment, redefining goals as necessary.nUnderstanding of market trends to ensure FatFace develops business performance.nBalance of creative and process skills to manage deadlines and continually seek ways to improve performance.

Role CompetenciesnDeep understanding of the FatFace style and customer, with a commitment to delivering the best ranges possible.nStrong team player who can work efficiently and prioritize tasks.nAbility to build relationships with suppliers to deliver product vision.nKnowledge of garment construction, treatments, fabrics, sustainable choices, and techniques.nProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).nAbility to draw original graphic artworks.nKnowledge of factory processes.nCreative vision to convey the FatFace brand.nUnderstanding of current and future trends within the marketplace.nAbility to translate graphics onto garments.nUnderstanding of colour stories and levels.nExcellent knowledge of print treatments and techniques.
