Role Overview:
As a Steelwork Fabrication Estimator, you will be pivotal in crafting accurate and competitive estimates to drive project success and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Analysis: Review and interpret project specifications and drawings.
* Material Quantification: Perform material take-offs and collaborate with the engineering team.
* Cost Estimation: Develop detailed cost estimates covering materials, labour, and overheads.
* Bid Creation: Draft competitive and compliant bid proposals.
* Supplier Management: Source and evaluate supplier quotes, maintaining strong vendor relationships.
* Risk Evaluation: Identify project risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
* Effective Communication: Liaise with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure clarity and accuracy.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Steelwork Fabrication Estimator.
* Skilled in estimating software and Microsoft Office.
* Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
