Role Overview:


As a Steelwork Fabrication Estimator, you will be pivotal in crafting accurate and competitive estimates to drive project success and profitability.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Analysis: Review and interpret project specifications and drawings.
  • Material Quantification: Perform material take-offs and collaborate with the engineering team.
  • Cost Estimation: Develop detailed cost estimates covering materials, labour, and overheads.
  • Bid Creation: Draft competitive and compliant bid proposals.
  • Supplier Management: Source and evaluate supplier quotes, maintaining strong vendor relationships.
  • Risk Evaluation: Identify project risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Effective Communication: Liaise with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure clarity and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Steelwork Fabrication Estimator.
  • Skilled in estimating software and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
