THE BUSINESSnWestray Recruitment Group are seeking a Production Engineer to join our client based in Gateshead. The company in question are a specialised repair, manufacturer and training provider in their sector. The company are adding to their highly skilled team due to a period of growth as they have a client base that spans the globe. THE ROLEnProvide engineering support to maintain progress of production activities.nProduction and maintenance of engineering drawings, BOM’s.nTo engineer solutions (directly and indirectly) to repair, replace, modify, and improve components to complement the company’s capabilities to build the business with minimal dependence on others.nSourcing of parts, consumables, subcontractors, information, and technology in support of production.nCompleting Grid and quality inspection on parts and subcontract operations, for both stock and WIP in timely fashion to meet the deadlines set.nMaintaining contact with suppliers via email, telephone, etc to maintain progress of the manufacture of parts and operations, etcnWorking with production completing As received technical and Final technical reports.nDesign, source, and installation of test equipment to meet with production demands.nCompilation of technical information and instruction manuals to support test equipment.nCommissioning of new test equipment and service/repair/calibration of existing equipment in the fieldnOverseeing fault investigation and testing of new products or special projects.nWork with sales team to promote the business, speaking with customers diagnosing faults and offering technical support.nAssisting commercial department with part recognition and raising quotations.

THE PERSONnHND / Degree, Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)nPC literate: with the ability to use Microsoft Office and Outlook.nUse of Solidworks drawing package.nUse of data acquisition and intelligent instrumentation hardware (Labview).nExperience of fitting and assembly processes.nWorking knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.nExperienced in fluid dynamics.nAble to interpret and read technical specifications and technical drawingsnMust have proven team-working skills.nPlanning and organisational skills are also required to ensure deadlines are met.nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
