My client is a hugely successful, long-standing and growing manufacturer based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
This leading UK business has an unrivalled reputation for quality and service and have experienced impressive growth in recent years. With several £million being spent on equipment upgrades, they are now looking for a proactive, process driven Maintenance Manager to join the team and help with their continued growth.
Description
The Maintenance Manager will form a crucial part of the manufacturing leadership team, and will have full responsibility for all proactive and reactive engineering activities completed across the facility.
Other day to day responsibilities will include:
Lead, mentor and manage a team of 8 multi-skilled Engineers and Technicians
Implementing robust maintenance processes which lead to significant and sustained improvements in asset performance
Managing PPM schedules and prioritising workloads across the team, ensuring maximum production uptime
Collaborating with other departments to control bottlenecks and avoid disruption to production outputs
Overseeing the installation of new equipment upgrades to ensure success for future business plans
Managing the maintenance department budget, including labour, parts and external servicesProfile
Successful candidates will have a strong manufacturing background and a proven ability to lead engineering teams through both proactive and reactive maintenance. You will also possess:
A demonstrable background in engineering and leadership in a manufacturing environment
The ability to step back and assess issues with a holistic approach - focussing on proactive maintenance as well as dealing with reactive situations
Experience working with a Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems - you don't need to be an expert but should have knowledge of where to best utilise your team across both areas
An innovative approach to problem solving with a good understanding of how to prioritise different situations and breakdowns
Detail orientated mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
