Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Client-Side Project Manager to lead the delivery of a significant infrastructure project involving the construction of 400 overspill tanks, valued at £40 million. This role is pivotal in advancing the region's water management capabilities. The successful candidate will work on an inside IR35 basis, providing expertise and leadership throughout the project's duration.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Manage the full project lifecycle, from initial planning and design through to execution and final delivery, ensuring that all project objectives are met on time, within scope, and within budget.
Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison between the client, contractors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders, maintaining clear and effective communication.
Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues that may impact the project's success.
Budget Management: Oversee financial aspects of the project, ensuring fiscal responsibility and adherence to budgetary constraints.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with relevant legislation, standards, and health and safety regulations, with a particular emphasis on environmental impact and sustainability.
Requirements:
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a client-side project management role, with a strong background in infrastructure or civil engineering projects. Experience with projects within the water sector is advantageous.
Qualifications: A degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline. Relevant professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or similar are highly desirable.
Skills: Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and coordinate cross-functional teams. Proficiency in project management tools and software.
Knowledge: Deep understanding of the UK regulatory framework related to large infrastructure projects.
Contract Details: This position is offered on an inside IR35 basis, with competitive day rates
